Well, life at our house has been rough over the last twelve months, to say the least, Aiden is no longer with our family due to the problems of bonding and attachment and his special needs that we couldn't manage. He is with a new family and doing good..Randy, Ella, and I are doing good now and we have healed through the ordeal of having to disrupt an adoption. Our families have begun to heal as well but they still don't understand what all we went through, either because they don't care or they think we were wrong. Either way, we have grown to be a better couple again since we almost divorced over the situation and we are a stronger family in the long run.
If someone had told us that a year ago we would have went through what we did, we would have thought them to be out of their minds but, here we are, 5 months after the disruption and we are still a family. I hope that no other family that we know EVER has to know what we went through firsthand. There are many who don't understand how we could do what we did but we know that we did what was best for Aiden, and that's all that matters in the long run. That he is happy and thriving, to the best that he can at this point.
